Let
Wolverine Be Your High Performance Headquarters
|
It's
not often that you get the opportunity to develop and market quality
customization and high performance packages, restricted only by your
imagination. That's exactly what the situation is for Wolverine's Ken
Mleczko and his crew of highly trained and experienced Harley-Davidson
Motorcycle Mechanics. They've been hard at work putting together the
performance packages that will make your Harley perform the way you
want it to. These packages will fit on brand new or older bikes and
can get you from the stock V Twin 88 average horsepower of 62 all the
way up to the 120-130 horsepower range. We can offer you complete kits
with pistons, cylinders, rods, cams, carbs, intakes, and ported heads.
Packages can be tailored to fit not only your performance and handling
requirements, but also your wallet.

Wolverine
Harley-Davidson has an ongoing Research and Development program in
which we utilize the latest technologies, as well as some very talented
people to further develop these packages. One such individual who has
been instrumental in this program is Jim Bob Haines, with ET Performance
in Walled Lake. Aside from being a great person, Jim Bob's experience
speaks for itself. He has a degree from Denver Auto Diesel College,
as well as eleven years at Arrow Racing, developing cylinder heads
for Mopar performance. Subsequently, Jim Bob worked for seven years
at Finch's Custom Cycles, doing performance work and custom builds.
One of Jim's three Harley's was even on the December '99 cover of American
Iron magazine! Jim Bob's ongoing work with Service Manager Ken Mleczko
has helped to ensure Wolverine's performance packages remain a step
ahead of the rest.

Aside
from the high performance packages we've been developing, we've also
been working with Jacques Bajer of Tire Systems Engineering in Grosse
Pointe to develop a tire pressure monitoring system which is in the
final prototype stage. The system will monitor the front and rear tire
pressure of your bike as well as your suspension air pres- sure. Testing
on this device is currently underway.

It's
a good idea to have the performance and customization options installed
as a package rather than over a period of time. Installing them in
this manner will allow you to save money and time. When you purchase
your new bike with one of our performance packages, we will deliver
it to you complete: beefed up and ready to ride. We want to assure
you that we use only the highest quality parts and accessories; Wolverine
stands behind the quality and workmanship of these packages 100%.
|
As
you develop your wish list, keep in mind your riding capabilities and
limitations; most riders have a fairly good idea of what they can and
can't handle. Any performance packages you install should still allow
you to safely operate your bike and not run the risk of injury to yourself
or others. Our ultimate goal is to give you the safest and most enjoyable
riding experience possible. Many of the items you may be considering
have been installed on Steve Elliott's or one of our other "Demo" bikes.
We are more than happy to let you take one of these bikes for a ride
so you can feel for yourself what one of our performance packages can
do. When you are ready to take your bike to the next level, Mark Meyers
or Todd Peterlin, our two Service Writers, are ready to help you.
